It displays some jagged lines around images. I have seen this before when playing through vlc on some graphics cards under windows. Could be a lot better. If you have a full hd tv I would look at alternatives before purchasing as this is annoying and the lack of options dont allow for fine tuning of video. If you dont have a hd tv and never look at menu options then this would probably be a good choice as it has good sound quality and reasonable dvd playback.

Fwiw the most likely culprit for this behaviour is Stuffit Expander’s contextual menu item so if you want to do it in a step-by-step fashion try removing this first upgrade to the latest version of Stuffit Expander and choose not to install the plug-in. c) nce removed log out and back in again and the Finder shouldn’t crash any more. If it still does the next potential culprits are Quicktime plug-ins such as DivX. Remove and upgrade them to their latest versions in a similar fashion. That said the HD870 is a pretty little thing. It’s well built and offers handy features such as DivX playback and both optical and coaxial digital audio out. The HD870 also has component and HDMI outputs for getting those upscaled pictures on to your hi-def TV. The DVD-HD870 costs about £50 online and is a nice antidote to all this.
