n my old pc laptop i always got a pretty decent picture (via s-video) onto mt CRT TV using either bsplayer or divx. Having bought the s-video adapter i managed to stream to the TV a torrented avi. file of a film i downloaded but using VLC. However the quality of the image was quite poor and the sound was off with background and music fine but speech low.
