Taking an SRT+AVI and making a .Divx with subtitles
Digital Spy – Apr 26, 2008
Does anyone know if there is a simple to use tool that can take1. An AVI file which contains an H264 encoded video file with mpga audio2. An SRT file (or serveral)and combine them together to make a. DIVX file which contains the video and also switchable subs (I know I may need to convert the SRT to XSUBs first) without re-encoding the video itself? (As it’s H264 perhaps the MP4 container could do the same job?)My Kiss DVD player annoyingly can’t stream SRT’s over Upnp but does appear to be able to display them from files which contain them (well the menu options exist!) on the latest firmware.

Weaknesses: SD Picture Quality/Reliability

The viewing angle is phenomenal and the picture quality is stunning and vivid. The 3 HDMI inputs make connections easy as I have my computer connected to watch DVDs and other HD Content (divx) and I still have 2 more ports for a Blu-Ray Player PS3 and or HD-DVD player (guess they are dead now huh?). It was really easy to setup and connecting it to cable was a snap. While I was watching the tuner find the channels it was just displaying static and I have to say it was the prettiest static I have ever seen. There’s just not enough great things to say about this TV. 1080P content and DVDs (upconverted) look superb as well as HDTV (From my computer’s HD tuner) upconverted to 1080p from 1080i.
