0 is supported for interactive and online Blu-ray fun. There isn’t quite the codec support we’ve seen on other LG players though–don’t expect MKV playback. There is however some more basic Xvid and DivX support as well as MP3s and JPEGs so all isn’t lost. You do get a pair of HDMI inputs though to connect up your other home cinema equipment. The advantage of this of course is that you get improved sound from games consoles and satellite receivers. In addition to the HDMI inputs there are also coaxial and optical digital connectors too for older equipment. We have to admit to being suckers for the design of this little system.

DivX has certified over 100 Blu-ray devices (which translates into roughly 50% of the standalone Blu-ray DVD player market) 250 digital TV models (representing roughly 55% of the total DTV market) and over 20 mobile handsets. ver 100 million DivX Certified hardware devices have been shipped worldwide. However we expect 2009 to be a challenging year for DivX as the macroeconomic backdrop continues to be difficult for consumer-facing companies and 80% of DivX license revenue is tied to DVD player sales.
