The M1 is no budget-friendly PMP by the looks of it: 3. 3-inch AMLED touchscreen DMB TV and Nvidia Tegra! It’ll play DivX no problem and who knows what Samsung has in store for this device with the built-in accelerometer.

6 inches deep and offer a 7000000:1 dynamic contrast ratio a 2ms response time and an Energy Star 3. 0 savings mode that continually adjusts the picture and backlight to optimize both picture quality and power savings. You’re also getting Samsung’s usual suite of connected TV features like the Yahoo! Widget Engine DivX playback and DLNA support but you’ll be paying handsomely for all this newness — the 45. 9-inch UN46B8500′s MSRP is $3599 while the 54. 6-inch UN55B8500 will run you $4499.

Toshiba SD-490E DVD Player
TrustedReviews
Helpfully you can flick through the various resolutions using the dedicated ‘HDMI’ buttons on the remote and the front panel. The SD-490E also supports MP3 DivX (up to version 6) and JPEG as most DVD decks do but the lack of support for DivX HD and WMA keeps it a few steps behind Samsung and LG on the format support front and of course the missing USB port makes it more of a hassle to play digital media.

For this the Theatre HD requires an Internet connection via networks over a Wi-Fi or wired link though local photos and videos can also be played back. There is DivX XviD H. 264 and WMV-9 video support. The updated system Version 1. 4 can now also play back 1080p videos rather than the older setup’s 720p playback. The update also brings a Net Video feature that lets users watch free on-demand video feeds sorted by several different categories.
