DivX Player on Android with Wuzhenhua

MP4, H.264, Xvid and DivX are playable on Android so far only after a conversion. Natively these formats were not yet supported. Now a Chinese developer has submitted and programmed using a media player that will support the following formats:
4XM, 8bps, aac, ac3, eac3, amv ape, dca, imc, alas, rm, rmvb, nuv, ptx, tta, wma, wmv, flic, flac, flv, G726, H261, h263, h264, mp1, mp2, mp3, mp4, smc, tmv, dvdsub, dvbsub
The surface is still very rudimentary and limited to the essentials.
In my first test (on Google G1 with Android 2.1) with an XviD video showed minor stuttering here and there. But this does not necessarily lie on the player, there are many more factors involved. Furthermore, the image had some artifacts and color distortions.

ne feature I really liked on the software was the automatic video conversion feature although the S-Series wont play DivX files all you have to do is drag and drop the file to the software and it automatically converts it to a WMV file and then places it on your Walkman I tested this feature with a 700MB DivX file and it took around 25 minutes from start to finish. verall if you are looking for a compact MP3 player which has great video playback and easy to navigate menus and software then I would recommend taking a look at the. The model we tested was the 8GB version which will retail for $109.

f particular note H. 264 and MPEG-4 Part 2 (read DiVX XViD) support has been added. I am ecstatic over this! This is something people have been begging for with the Xbox 360 for a long time. No longer do we need to use Transcode 360 over Media Center to watch these videos.
